Valencia CF’s defender and captain, José Luis Gayà, is one of the key pieces for Carlos Corberán’s side. The Pedreguer-born player stands out in several analysed metrics such as defensive contribution, technical-tactical actions and attacking involvement in build-up plus progression, and in creation plus finishing.
Gayà are the Valencia CF player with the highest accumulated aerial-duel success rate (77%), the fourth in all of LALIGA EA SPORTS 25/26 after Tchouaméni (82%), Torró (85%) and Moi Gómez (88%). He is also the third Valencia CF player with the most involvement in defensive actions (84), behind Tárrega and Copete.
Continuing with the defensive side, the Valencianista full-back is the third player in the team with the most blocked shots (4), and also the third with the most clearances made (29).
On the other hand, regarding the more attacking side, he is the team’s third player with the most successful long passes (25), with a 100% accuracy in switches of play. He is likewise the second Valencia CF player with the most crosses (30), behind Luis Rioja (45), and also second in total completed crosses and in key passes leading to shots.
